Shannon

Shannon added grace to our time together in Israel.  She was even-tempered and lovely, and quickly responded in kind to Charlie's teasing.  She was not afraid of anything, even swimming with me in the early morning cold in the sea of Galilee, with a colony of hyrax watching us.  I warmed up in a few minutes but it took her til 3 pm, and she never complained.  She tried all kinds of food and bartered better than any of us.
At JFK airport she was "randomly selected" to go through extreme security measures, but she held up like a pro, even being escorted to the bathroom.  We "randomly selected" her for a lot of tasks after that.  She received at least one proposal, including the offer of 6000 camels, and was told twice in my hearing that she looked like a teenager.  Being called on the plane to handle a medical emergency proved again her maturity.  She was a blessing.  We enjoyed being with her wholeheartedly.
I should mention that she and I switched cameras depending on who was sitting where in the car, or whose camera ran out of battery power first.  So some of "my" photos are probably hers.
