Home by the lake

Couldn't resist this note in English and Italian - the first time I realized what the name Pellegrini means.
This is where we stayed the first four nights - a small, simple, friendly guesthouse run by nuns, right on the Sea of Galilee at the supposed spot where Jesus cooked some fish for His friends after His resurrection.

Jesus said to them,“Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.  John 21:12-14

The site of our swim, and several sessions of reading the Bible together as we waited for breakfast.

Another view of that same spot, showing the Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter.

Hyrax were out sunning every day here.  And I had thought that mountaintop  glimpse of them was a rare occurence!

The view toward Tiberias

A random view out the car window, showing a typical small town in the north.
