Gamla

One place John eagerly wanted us to see was Gamla, the site of an Israelite stand against the Romans.  Gamla means camel, and the place looks like a camel on the ground.

The waterfall
These plants we buy for houseplants grow wild all over Israel.

Fun to see unreadable signs everywhere.

See the hump?  You can also see a tower on the top right and the synagogue in the middle.  9000 people lived on this hill you're looking at.

Remember this photo when we get to the south of Israel...

This looks to me like a mustard plant, already towering over the other plants in early spring.
(The Kingdom) is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.”  Luke 13:19

Beautifully green, is it like this just in the spring? The cyclamen looked very healthy:)
