View from the walls

We bought tickets to walk along the top of the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.   Well worth it!  You can't go all the way around, but maybe 3/4 of the way.  You start at the Jaffa Gate, sort of opposite the Dome of the Rock, on the West.    We headed south at first.

The city is many layers deep, and sometimes you can see that.
We came down off the walls and walked back through the city to the Jaffa Gate again to walk the other direction on the walls.

The "Ecce Homo" arch, where Pilate supposedly presented Jesus to the crowd.

A tiny garbage truck squeezing through the city alleyways.

Wow! So beautiful and OLD, reminds me a little of Eger, Szentedre, and O'Buda (the old side of Budapest)...I do love little twisty streets: )
