More Jerusalem

If you can enlarge this picture you can see one theory that Golgotha was a spot in a quarry outside the then city walls where inferior stone was left that formed a small hill.  This view is from the northwest looking southeast.  I've already shown you the church which is now inside the city walls that supposedly covers this site.

Charlie walking on a street from Jesus' day.  We could see a Roman game carved into the stone that they used to play on the street.  We accessed this street by paying some money to go into another church (Notre Dame Convent) and down a couple levels to this excavated area.

School let out as we were walking by.
