Church of the Nativity

So finally we are going to the site where Jesus was born...

...and there's a big parking lot and a church and other buildings.....

...here's the humbling entrance to the church....

See the censers?   We all waited our turn to descend to the supposed spot where the birth took place.  It was a bit hard to imagine, and very crowded.  So many folks were waiting for their turn that we felt obliged to hurry by.
