We left the Dead Sea swimming area and drove up the west coast of the Dead Sea.

| We didn't have time to stop at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, but we drove by it, and many more caves indistinguishable from that one. |

| We finally saw sheep and a shepherd! We had been expecting a scene like this from the first day. |

| And at last! Camels in the wild! We had to drive to the outskirts of Jericho to see these. |

| This was our day for animals! As we were (need I say it?) lost in Jericho this herd of goats crossed in front of our car. |

| You'd almost think those ears would keep you from hearing anything. |
