We're donating the money we raise at VBS to "Plant with a Purpose", to plant trees in Africa!

...on the pastor's plate today - painting the lines for the Fall  Summer Classic basketball courts.
Here you see his faithful crew of Chris and Dave Bates and Bethany Dorean,

and the finished product.   They did an especially nice job on the starting line for the 5 K and the kid's run.

VBS Day 2

Here is a smattering of photos from Tuesday's VBS.  We even had a Habitat group from New York working with us this morning.  We had about 70 kids and 40 some helpers!

VBS has begun!

Here we are again with all these cute kids and great teachers and support folks, enjoying being together learning about God.  VBS is the best !

Wedding in Ohio

The preacher and family went off to Ohio on Friday for Brandi Ankney's wedding - lots of Jefferson folks were there, like Dan and LInda Moore, John, Cindy and AJ Curtis, Ron and Karen Headlee, and Ron, Rita, Emily and Justin Falcon.
Beth enjoyed all the company, especially all the men in tuxes.

A new roof

for my birdfeeder.  The good pastor managed to fit this into his busy day.

Trees for Father's Day

Kable and Emily Dale provided  a tree for each father for Father's Day this year.  


Levi Shaffer (far left with back to camera) won the award for the father with the youngest child present.
Charlie Barno (shown in the parking lot with his tree) won for the father with the oldest child present.
Buddy Hawk won for the father with the oldest child present who is still living at home.


Kable proves that he is one of the strongest fathers present, and Charlie Anderson proves that he is a kind one.
We're grateful for all our fathers!
