Christmas Eve

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” Luke 2:16-20 NIV

A couple days in the week before Christmas

Which way is this train going?  I saw this while dropping off Salvation Army money.

The Burns family take good care of us and our vehicles.

The Waynesburg Press!

Craig Pellegrini runs a coffee shop on High Street in Waynesburg.    He has hired a lovely lady named Waynette Pellegrini to work for him : )

the shop is small but lovely

John and I highly recommend it - they are a bit like a Starbucks, with various coffees, teas, hot chocolates, muffins, sandwiches, etc.

The Waynesburg Press is located beside the movie theatre in the shop that used to belong to Mr. Drizos, the shoe repair man.

I urge you to support these good folks - you'll enjoy it!

Caroling!

We had almost 30 people caroling around town.  It was a fairly warm night too.

Pearl Keys came to the door to hear us

Let's imitate the mountains:

"Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy..." Psalm 98:8

Edible Arrangement!

I received this for my birthday!  It's gorgeous and delicious!

Christmas Card

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

If we were sending out Christmas cards this year, this photo would be in them!  A passing stranger took it with Carrie's camera when we were all at a Lighthouse near Providence, RI this summer.  This is the whole family, including baby Renne on Grandpa's back.  It's a graphic representation of what I am second most thankful for, God's gift of family.

...and on the cover of the card would be something like this:
to represent our gratitude for our Lord Jesus choosing to come to earth as a baby, to save us.  To Him be the glory!

For those who might need a little help identifying people in our family photo(left to right):

Ilo Bonner, Renne Bonner (in backpack), John, Beth, Merry, Carrie Dorean, Matt Bonner, Asa Bonner, Craig Otteni, Emily Bonner, Phin John Bonner, Hannah Otteni, Samara Bonner, Adelaide Dorean Hobert, Elsa Dorean Hobert, Ryan Hobert
